Instagram AR filters using methods, how to use and where to find?

① When post a story, swipe the bottom button right.
② Click the magnifying icon (Browse the effects).
 Click the search right side above (A gallery of effects).
 Search keywords.
 Click ‘Use effect’


This is how to apply the filters on them when users post stories. There seem to be many routes, but you will quickly learn it once you follow, which is already familiar to filter users.

Here, I’ll give you a life-hack. As you see the image, the simpler filter name is, the better as users need to search in person. Following the filter naming policy, the length of filter name can be 20 characters including spaces but try to choose a shorter and easier name.


3) "Use" button in friends's story

What if my followers applied the filters that I want to use right away?

 Select a story on main screen
 Select a filter under top profile
 Click ‘Use effect’

You can check it out by these steps. Even you don’t want to use it right away, simply tap the ‘Save Effects’ to use it when you want to do.

However, if the uploaded video is not taken by using filters but previously saved re-upload one, you cannot check the filters unfortunately. (But there is a way to DM to the followers!)

B : Repost a previously filmed video in stories -> Filters’ info not appears😣



4) Insert CTA in account stories / highlights

By using the Link Sticker function in Instagram, you can easily insert a CTA button.
When the AR filters are turned on, its unique link is also created.

Before posting a story, simply click on the link sticker to insert the link and specify the title you want. For titles, they could be using filters and promotional titles, right?

5) Effects button in account reels tab

① Click ‘Reels’ tab in account
 Click a filter name which is applied (If the filter is not used, the icon does not appear)
③ Click “Use effect” below the filters can be shared and saved
④ filter names + the number of reels that filters were used

As I mentioned in the story before, this is a way to check the filter that followers used for their reels.

Select the filter name that appears at the bottom of the screen to view related information, including effects saving function.




6) Use the effect on the reels screen

 Among edit tools, click the very left blinking ‘Effects’ tab (Based on the latest version)
② Click the magnifying icon at very left
③ Search keywords
④ Click ‘Use effect’

You can also apply the filters as much as you want when filming reels.
There is an ‘Effects’ tab among Reels edit tools, you can easily access.
